24hr High | The highest price a cryptocurrency traded in the last 24 hours. |
24hr Low | The lowest price a cryptocurrency traded in the last 24 hours. |

Active Orders |
The current (limit) orders that are currently pending for execution, found in a trader's 'active orders' tab. |
Auto-Deleveraging (ADL) |
Auto-Deleveraging is used to cover a user's contract losses (liquidation) when the insurance fund is unable to cover these losses. |
ADL Ranking |
A banding system used to indicate the risk of being chosen for ADL. In the trading page, the lights below indicate your ADL priority in the Auto Deleveraging (ADL) system. Each light represents a 20% increment to the next percentile. |
Ask Price |
The price users are willing to accept to sell a given quantity of contracts for a particular cryptocurrency on the platform. |
API |
API stands for 'Application Programming Interface', which is a software intermediary that allows two applications to communicate with each other (e.g. C-Trade to trading bots and vice versa). |
Available Balance |
The balance available inside a user's asset balance to perform trading activities (using margin) or asset withdrawals. |

Bankruptcy Price |
This is the price level indicating the total loss of the user's position's initial margin. |
Base Currency |
Part of the perpetual contract's price mechanism (base and quote), mainly quoted in cryptocurrencies and used to calculate margin, fees, profits, and losses. |
Bid Price |
The prices that users are willing to accept to buy a given quantity of contracts for a particular cryptocurrency on the platform. |
BTCUSD |
C-Trade's Bitcoin inverse perpetual contracts. |
Buy Long |
Opening a position on a cryptocurrency expecting to make a profit with a price increase of this asset. |

Conditional Orders |
More advanced orders that can be submitted and automatically executed when the set condition is met. E.g. based on mark, last, limit price. |
Closed on Trigger |
An additional option to conditional orders, this function seeks to execute as a closing order that guarantees its execution regardless of margin requirements. |
Closed P&L |
Final net profit and loss of a user's position after closing it, and after fees. |
Contract Value |
The value of the position with respect to its order's execution price. |
Close by Limit |
A limit order that uses the 'close on trigger' function to close your position. |
Close by Market |
A market order that uses the 'close on trigger' function to close your position. |
Cross Margin |
A type of margin mode that utilizes a user's account's available balance margin into the open position, incl. the use of margin of other open positions. |

Dual-Price Mechanism |
Uses the mark & last traded price. Mainly used to protect traders from market manipulations (wicks). |

ETHUSD |
C-Trade's Ethereum inverse perpetual contracts. |
Entry Price |
The average entry price of your open position. |
Exit Price |
The average exit price of your closed position. |

Funding |
Funding is the mechanism used by C-Trade to ensure the last traded price is always anchored to the global spot price |
Funding Rate |
Funding rate is used to calculate the funding fee that is exchanged directly between buyers and sellers every 8 hours. |
FillOrKill (FOK) |
An option to allow traders to vary their order execution. FOK orders must immediately be executed at the order price or better, otherwise, it will be completely canceled. A partial filling of an order is not accepted. |

GoodTillCancelled (GTC) |
An option to allow traders to vary their order execution. GTC orders are open until they are either canceled by the user, or completely filled. |

Hedging |
Hedging is a type of strategy used by traders to reduce and control their exposure to risks by hedging a Buy Long and Sell Short position of the same quantity under cross margin mode. |

Index Price |
Created based upon the sum of the prices from various spot exchanges, multiplied by their respective weightage. |
Initial Margin |
The amount of margin collateral required to open a position for leverage trading. |
Insurance Fund |
A pool of funds used to cover contract losses and decrease the possibility of auto-deleveraging (ADL) occurring on the platform. |
Inverse Contract |
The Inverse contracts use BTC and ETH as the base currency. Users need to confirm traded quantity in terms of USD (quote), and then use their base currency to calculate margin, profit and loss. |
Isolated Margin |
A type of margin mode that utilizes the set isolated balance margin into the open position. |
ImmediateOrCancel (IOC) |
An option to allow traders to vary their order execution. IOC orders are executed upon filling immediately, and are otherwise canceled. |

Leverage |
The use of borrowed capital as funding to amplify returns from a position. |
Limit Order |
Limit order is an order type that allows users to place orders inside the order book at a price better than the current best bid/ask prices. |
Liquidation |
Refers to the event when the position's margin is unable to maintain above the maintenance margin requirements, causing the complete liquidation (loss) of the entire margin collateral. Liquidation is triggered once the mark price reaches the liquidation price of the position. |
Last Traded Price |
The platform's last traded market price (current price). |

Maintenance Margin |
The minimum balance required in order to maintain an open position. |
Market Depth |
The order book's ability to sustain relatively large market orders without impacting its execution price. |
Market Order |
An order that is executed immediately against the current best price(s) available inside the order book for that order size. |
Maker Order |
A type of order that adds liquidity to an order book before being executed (added to the order book). After it has been successfully executed, such orders receive a maker reward of 0.025% of the contract value on the platform. |
Mark Price |
A global spot price index plus the funding basis rate |

Notional Value |
The current contract value of a position based on the current mark price of the platform. |

Order Book |
A list of current open buy and sell orders for perpetual contracts sorted by price level. |
Order Cost |
Initial margin of a position + trading fee to open + trading fee to close. |
Order Price |
A price users can manually input when setting limit orders. |
Open Interest |
Total number of open contracts that are currently being held on the platform. |
Order ID |
The registration number of a specific order/transaction. |
Order History |
A record of all orders that were placed by a user. |
Order Margin |
The sum of margin of all active orders by a user. |

Post-Only |
This type of orders ensures the order is executed as a maker order rather than a taker order, to receive the maker fee rebate. |
Predicted Rate |
The predicted funding rate for the next timestamp. Updated every minute, based on the premium index and interest rate. |
Premium index |
Collects data used to raise or lower the next funding rate to match where the contract is trading. |
P&L |
Profit and loss. Can be estimated using the C-Trade calculator in the trading dashboard. |
P&L% |
Profit and loss percentage. Can be estimated using the C-Trade calculator in the trading dashboard. |
Position Margin |
Initial margin used for a position + fee to close the position. |
Q
Quote Currency |
Quoted in USD to determine the orders' and position's number of contracts quantity, as part of the perpetual contract's price mechanism. |
Quantity |
Size measurement for positions and orders. |

Reduce-Only |
An additional feature for limit orders, to ensure this order only decreases the current open position upon execution. |
Risk Limit |
Risk management measure to limit the risk exposure of users. |
ROE |
Return of investment percentage. Can be estimated using the C-Trade calculator in the trading dashboard. |

Stop Loss (SL) |
An order placed to limit a user's losses on an open position. |
Sell Short |
Opening a position expecting to profit from the downfall in price of a cryptocurrency. |

Take Profit (TP) |
An order placed to take (a partial) profit on an open position. |
Taker Order |
An order that is placed and uses the current available liquidity in the order book to execute. Users pay a 0.075% taker fee for such orders. |
Trailing Stop |
Order function used as a stop order to dynamically follow the last traded price based on a pre-set range to lock in an open position's profit or stop loss. |
Target Price |
The by the C-Trade calculator estimated exit price for your position to lock in profits. |
Total Realized P&L |
The calculated total P&L accounting for all profits, losses, trading, and funding fees on account since the first successfully placed trade. |
Trigger Price |
Pre-determined price criteria set to trigger conditional orders. |
Trading Fee |
Fees received/paid by a user to execute an order on the platform. |
Transaction Fee |
Fees paid for withdrawals on the platform. Note: fees depend on the Bitcoin / Ethereum Network. |
Transaction ID |
Number registered for each unique order executed on the platform. |
Trade History |
Displays the history of all your executed orders, and received/paid fees on the platform. |
Two-factor authentication (2fa) |
