The C-Trade calculator allows users to use their (real-time) account information to calculate potential Profits/Losses, Target prices, and Liquidation price, based on position margin, leverage, entry/exit price and contract quantity.
The calculator is available for anyone in our web application.
How to use?
Step 1: Navigate to the trading dashboard and locate the calculator in the top right corner of the ‘Contract Details’ menu, on the right side of your screen.
Step 2:
Select the option you’d like to calculate, and fill out the boxes with the correct information (prices, quantities, leverage, etc.)
- The above calculations exclude trading and funding fees.
For example:
Profit/Loss Calculation:
In this above example, the user opened a long position at a Bitcoin price of $49,200. The take-profit order is set at $49,980 with 10,000 contracts at 10X leverage.
The profit for this order would be 0.0032 BTC (1.56%), which is $159 at a BTC price of $49,980. This position resulted into 1.56% profit for the trader.
Target Price
In the above example, the user opened a position at a price of $49,200 with 10x leverage. The user aims to achieve a 100% ROE (Return on equity). According to the calculations, the target price to close the position should be $54,666.
Liquidation Price
The liquidation price calculator is used to calculate the potential liquidation price of a position.
In the above image, the user opens a 10,000 contract long position at a Bitcoin price of $49,200.
Using 10x isolated leverage, the liquidation price would then be at $44,793.08.
